This is my self-portrait. It contains a variety of pictures of me with my friends, family, and my dog. These things all explain me. They are my life. I also have crosses and music notes in red, red being my favorite color. I have crosses to represent my love for God and my Christianity; and the music notes for my passion for music, especially singing. I have been singing since I was a little girl. I put all of these together to create my self portrait.

I decided to make collage of different things that describe me. I put a family on there because family is very important to me. The American flag because im happy to see it change and be apart of the change. A cross because im a christian and religion is also important to me. My high school because i graduated this year. An A to stand for atlanta where i was raised. An hawaian flower because i lived in Hawaii for three years. And my aries symbol because everything they say about aries is pretty much true about me:)

1. The big chicken:

The "Big Chicken" is located in Marietta, Georgia. (12 Cobb Pkwy. NE, Marietta, GA)
In 1963, Tubby Davis had the "Big Chicken" built to advertise his Johnny Reb's Chick, Chuck and Shake. Johnny Reb's eventually went out of business and the logo was replaced with KFC's when the Kentucky Fried Chicken chain leased the space in 1974.
The chicken is 56ft tall and has a movable beak and eyes.All directions in Cobb county seem to have this chicken in them. The chicken is very out of the ordinary... it doesn't seem to fit into society but people in the area love it.

2. Picture taken in London Eye:

This picture was taken while rotating the London Eye. This piece of
architecture is interesting because you can see all of London
underneath you.I could see above the Big Ben (the clock). This piece of
architecture fits into society because it is one of the main tourist attractions in the
U.K.

1.Sculpture outside of library:
This piece is located outside of the campus center. (right in front
of the main entrance). The sculpture fits into its location because its somewhat monochromatic and blends to its environment color wise . However, the shape is strikingly unusual. West Georgia's mission statement and its accomplishments are on little shapes covering different parts of the sculpture.
2. pubic garden:
This "garden" was in front of the Z6. It is very subtle and undoubtedly fits into "society".
This little garden is there to bring color and horticulture to campus? I'm not really
sure why these huge pots are outside.I will find a real garden with pretty flowers and
put it on here later.

i guess you could say that my obsession is with my son, jonathon, who passed away last year. i wear his clothes, i drive his car and i listen to the music that he listened to. i would for sure say that that is an obsession. included in this is some photos that i took of his car with my reflection in the window shining through. this is my self portrait also. the reason for this is that i see myself as a reflection of what i was before he died. everything about me has been based on his need for me.of course i am here now at uwg to become a new person with new goals.

i went to little five points also to get my grafitti assignment. while i was there i ran into my nephew, jake. he is a musician who lives at little 5. he is what he calls a "couch hopper". jake sits on street corners with his guitar and case and plays for money. he said that he can make around $50.00 an hour playing this way.
jake is a very talented musiciann he can play any instrument he picks up. i have seen him play a trumpet, a guitar, a saxaphone, a bass guitar,a banjo and the keyboard.
jake has also worked at many different venues as a light and sound man. he is very talented, but chooses to live on the streets of little5 points. this was my interview with a folk artist.
